Hakan Yaşar Biography
Hakan Yaşar, works with paintings, charcoal drawings and hand colered prints. He belongs to Norway's small group of so-called classical or realistic painters.
Hakan Yaşar is Kurdish and was born in Konya, Turkey in 1976. He began to show interest in drawing and painting during his primary school years. After moving to Norway with his family in 1990, he completed his high school and college in Trondheim. Hakan tried different fields of work, but he never felt complete, he’s been a master chef for several years and owned sevral restaurants. Hakan had soon realised he had to follow his dreams, so he took a leap of faith and sold his restaurants and bought an atelier where he soon started follow his dream. Art for him was an emotional outlet for his melancholy of his past.
After years of hard work his name became known to the public.
The anatomy, the body, the movements, a timeless language and a naturalistic approach to the subject are key words. The figurative images a dramatic nerve with a lot of pathos, emotion and movement.
In 2019 at the Tokyo- Japan Art Expo with 3500 contesting artists with 5500 paintings, Hakan got a honorary award for his artwork “Woman and God”
As of today Hakan has an atelier, gallery and art school in Stavanger, Norway.
Hakan is a perfectionist and is therefore making his own frames and oil paint.

`` My real inspiration and teacher is nature, it is the one who teaches the scientific technique and is the guide so that mistakes are not repeated. Every human life develops with what he receives from all over the world and becomes an individual. Before his birth and after his death, it is no longer a world.
The individual is the world itself and the universe the world as long as the individual exists. Each individual educates and builds a world with his vision, behavior and life. We can call it making oneself human. The only problem here is that individuality is not confused with egoism. Every person I paint is a world unto itself and that is what one will see in my paintings. `` Hakan Yasar
